Chapter fourteen was a monster. Really, really tricky to write–in part because the entire chapter is more or less one long conversation with a lot of plot points revealed. (And no, it’s not a Scooby-Doo-esque “the villain taunts and reveals all” scene. The villain’s not even in it. ) But it was a raving pain the ass to write.
